About Madera County Farm Bureau

Farm Bureau is the unified national voice of agriculture, we work to enhance and strengthen the lives of rural Americans and to build strong, prosperous agricultural communities.

We represent our farmers and ranchers, our source for local, fresh, safe produce. Our membership of 1,200 individuals strong, including members of the farming community and the public who believe in the importance of supporting local farmers who feed their families.

History

Our Heritage

Over a century of standing with the farmers and ranchers of Madera County.

1917

Farm Bureau Founded

Madera County Farm Bureau was established to give local farmers and ranchers a collective voice in the growing Central Valley agricultural community.

1950s

Post-War Growth

Membership surged as Madera County's agricultural output expanded with new irrigation infrastructure and diversified crop production.

1980s

Legislative Advocacy

Farm Bureau led efforts on water rights, pesticide regulation, and land use policy, becoming the go-to voice for agricultural interests in Sacramento.

2000s

Community Expansion

Launched scholarship programs, youth education initiatives, and community events that strengthened the connection between agriculture and the public.
