Happy New Year! We are so excited to be back and hitting the ground running.  Farm Bureau is a hub for activity in prepping for our educational and exciting community endeavors for Spring and Summer 2014.  We are pleased to offer an extensive lineup of safety trainings, beginning at the end of this month and continuing through April.  These trainings will include tractor and forklift safety training, worker hazard and pesticide handling safety training, and multiple employer continuing education credits.  Please check our website and this paper for a complete list of trainings –sign up today!

The Madera County Farm Bureau staff and Executive Team continue to remain committed to shepherding our negotiated high speed rail settlement agreement.  Detailed nuances of the agreement continue to play a pivotal role throughout the County and deeply affect countless Farm Bureau members.  Land acquisition negotiations by the Authority are continual and omnipresent, to which Farm Bureau participates in daily to protect our members throughout the process.  Please contact the office as soon as possible if you have questions or concerns.

Farm Bureau has also initiated our planning efforts for our annual wine tasting event in May of 2014.  This event is not only a beautiful and enjoyable one –but is critical in providing much needed scholarships to dozens of youths each year to attend higher education institutions.

Please check our website for all our updated information.  Best wishes to you and your throughout this busy –and dry year!
