I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. I hope you are able to spend time with family and friends. Be sure to share your stories about our water situation with family from outside of the farming community.
It seems that California is now waking up to the idea that we might have a water shortage in our state. A recent poll says that a majority of Californians think that our water supply is a big problem. Voters are now far more likely to approve a water bond on the November ballot if lawmakers can come to agreement on what should be in it. The Legislature has very little time to get their act together if we are to have a chance to vote on it this fall. I hope they know that if the bond does not include money to build, not just study surface storage they are wasting our time and theirs.
See Ya
