Well we got a little rain to start out the month. I guess some rain is better than no rain. I know that this is going to be a terrible year for water. The really sad news is that it didn’t have to be this way. We have known for a very long time that our water infrastructure was not adequate. California’s water system has not kept pace with our growing state.
Unfortunately most of the population of our state has no clue where their water comes from and they really don’t care. On the other hand our elected officials do know where our water comes from and just how fragile our water system is and until now they haven’t seemed to care either.
The politicians are at least talking about making improvements to our water system now. Our Congressman, along with others, have introduced a bill to authorize the building of Temperance Flat. I sincerely hope that we have learned from our past mistakes of inaction and will finally work to increase our water storage.
See Ya
