Are you part of a family owned business? Which family members help run the business? We are owned and operated by the Hood family of the central valley.

What changes have you made in your business to stay up to date with current trends? For example: new products, today’s youth, the green movement, alternative sources of power, advertising strategy, etc. High efficiency modules. Only carry the most durable products for the harsh environment of Agriculture. The best service before, during and after the installation. A wide range of solutions so we can customize what is best for our customers. We are the top dealer for the Farm Credit Solar Program which offers a no cost way to deploy solar while cutting the bill for electricity in half.

Are you concerned with the water issues that we face in the Central Valley? What are your specific concerns?  Water is always a concern.  Agriculture in CA is the life blood of our economy and without water, there is no Ag.  Many of our customers have had to drill excessively deep wells over the past years and didn’t realize that their electric bills would skyrocket.  With electricity costs continuing to soar out of control, solar is the only viable technology that helps the farmer control these costs.  The yields per acre on solar are actually higher than most all crops, so many of our customers are willing to remove a small portion of their crop to install solar.

Length of Madera County Farm Bureau membership? 1 year
